Primary and secondary schools in Wuhan to open on September 1 | 武漢中小學將于9月1日正式開學

Our reporter learned from the Wuhan Education Bureau on Aug. 14 that local kindergartens as well as primary and secondary schools (including secondary vocational schools) will officially open on Sept. 1.

8月14日，記者從市教育局獲悉，全市中小學、幼兒園（含中等職業學校）將于2021年9月1日正式開學。

Further notices will be released should school opening times need to be readjusted due to issues related to the epidemic. Each municipal college and university can individually set their school opening times, basing their decisions on local epidemic prevention and control situations and on relevant regulations released by the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education of Hubei Province. Off-campus training institutions should not resume their onsite classes earlier than the opening time of local kindergartens, and primary and secondary schools.

全市開學時間如因疫情防控需要作出調整，另行通知。市屬高校開學時間，由各學校根據疫情防控形勢和教育部、省教育廳有關規定，“一校一案”科學安排。校外培訓機構線下復課不早于中小學、幼兒園線下開學時間。

All districts and schools will now employ a 14-day health monitoring schedule for teachers, students and other employees. Teachers, students, staff and freshmen from low-risk areas outside Wuhan are required to return before Aug. 16. Those who are being held up in the medium- and high-risk counties (cities, districts) or have once been to those areas during the previous 14 days should delay their return to the city.

即日起，各區、各校對師生員工開展14天健康監測。市外低風險地區師生員工和新生，需于8月16日前返漢。目前滯留于中高風險地區所在縣（市、區）及14天內到過中高風險地區的師生員工及新生，推遲返漢返校報到。
